The day before I turn 48
Well we came close to having a new used car, but it had to be inspected and would have cost almost as much as the seller was asking for repairs. Brother might still come through on Monday, but he and his family are going on a vacation soon, so it's gonna be hectic for dad and him, because for dad he's Mister Sensitive and is dying for a vehicle, but also so bothered about being a bother to brother.
8% into The Recognitions, I should be picking up the pace a bit and be doing 10% per wake period.
My smokes and gummies are ordered, I have a bunch of defective packs of smokes where the tobacco was all loose and falling out, i'm trying to use those to make the 4 unopened packs last till my 3 cartons arrive maybe by Monday or Tuesday.
I never want to run out of gummies again, they just help me too much, but with some odd things thrown in as well.
There's a little crack in my kindle, and since its black I can't really see it well, might use some tape if I can find any around to keep it together, I can't afford a new kindle till next month at the earliest.
I'm paying dad back for the computer and some accidental book purchases in 3 months with 200 times 3.
Not much left over, and I simply must start saving, and not always use up all my funds.
He's gone out on his scooter, and I am enjoying peace an quiet, reading, and looking up translations in the Gaddis Annotations, some of the notes are lengthy that i'll incorporate on a 2nd read.
Along with Gass' A Temple of Texts, I got a revised edition of Gaddis' Letters, which are supposed to be a peak behind the curtain to see how he wrote his first 2 immense novels.
Things are good, and I hope I don't hear dad whining too much about how much he needs a car, things he reserves for my ears only, I don't want my blissful mood spoiled.
