On this day in 1975 we lost 29 good men to the worst ship wreck of my time i'm by no means a religious person but if your ever in downtown Detroit in march go to the blessing of the fleet were thy read the names of the 29 and ring the bell to this day it gave me goose bumps God Bless the Fitz

No matter how old you are, this was a tragic event. Just hearing Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" gives you an eerie and somber feeling inside.
