Great to be back on the saddle again
first day was awesome.
got to meet the execs and they thought I was cool as shit. everything that came out of my mouth just made every one laugh. got meet some officers and their partners on shift. met who I'm being partnered with. they run like a military so everyone is ranked.
went through certification class, mock scenarios; had company pistols signed off and issued (we can't use whatever personal pistols we have because the company has specific guns they want us to be armed with and carry as part of the policy and the State's policy. and we have to lock them up after every shift. we can bring our own - say, if we're permitted by the State to carry - but we have to lock our weapons up until end of shift when we sign off on company's weaponry) and I got my badge.
six weeks without employment, damn near two weeks of drama, I needed this. and I got it.
