Uk people, what's the latest this time of year that it's actually worth going sunbathing?

I am planning to go to the beach after work. I should get there for 5 pm. Is it worth going of you just care about getting the sun? There are always too many 20 year old girls in bikinis dancing by that time in the afternoon so I don't want to put up with all their nonsense unless I'm definitely going to get a tan
In early September? That's early Autumn there!
I checked the photos and most people are fully dressed at the beach or wearing wetsuits.
Surely, for Vit D, supplements or a session under an ultraviolet lamp would do the job better - at least until the warm weather returns.
Or are you one of those hardy iceberger types?

Here in our Spring, - 28.2546° S, 153.5754° E - air temp is 23.9 °C , scudding clouds, the seas are still carry the cold of the antarctic, winds variable - a storm predicted for this arvo. The only ones on our beaches right now are dog walkers, horse riders and board surfers in wetsuits. But then, most of us Aussies are suckers for the higher temps.

UK weather is in a heatwave for the next few days at least.
Unless you're up in the west of Scotland.
Enjoy your sunbathing

@Picklebobble2 yes but is it worth doing it after5pm?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Jm31xxx Do it anyway !
You may not get the best of the sunshine but you'll still have the heat.

Go for it, the water's as warm as it has been all year 😁

I don't know what beach you visit, but I can't recall ever being inconvenienced by too many 20 year old girls in bikinis dancing 🤣

It’s hot. Too hot for me to sit outside at 4pm. Last night I was sitting in the garden in the dark and I nearly got sunburn. 😂

I'm puzzled on so many levels by this post. If you know that there's
too many 20 year old girls in bikinis dancing by that time in the afternoon
you must know the particular beach - and, more importantly, how warm (or not) the weather is going to be. And this is disregarding the fact that the weather will vary greatly throughout the UK.

@ArtieKat Times have changed.

@SW-User I don't follow what you mean: times have changed since when? Three days ago when this post was made?

I haven't really been getting out much since Covid started but if that's how it is these days I guess I'll need very dark glasses so I don't have to see it 😎

Edit: beach? Well that explains it. I think more of a park to get some sun ☀️

uv index too high.
Try October.

Never seen girls in bikinis dancing around. But this is Sussex!
