The hot shower was totally innocent, from my point of view, because, to me, nudity isn't necessarily a sexual thing.
Is "bewildered" used in present-day English? Because they were "bewildered"...

@Oster1 It’s miserable being outdoors and working when it’s that hot, at least to me. I don’t know how roofers can work up on top of roofs when it gets over 90 F. Me & the boy went to get our hair cut and I wore a jacket, the wind is gusty and it’s too chilly not to wear one outside.

@cherokeepatti It is very miserable and very unsafe for roofers, mid-day.
