What to get two women for Christmas?

Hi everyone, I'm asking for some help. Yesterday a neighbor down the hill from us, her house caught fire. The house didn't burn to the ground but appears there is enough damage she won't be living there until repairs are done. I have opened my house to her and her daughter who is visiting for the holidays. They have no relatives in the area. I told them, they can stay as long as needed. It's already been discussed, they will be with us for Christmas. I don't know the ladies very well, the daughter I barely know at all. What are some ideas as to what to get them for Christmas? My hope is with Christmas breakfast and dinner and opening presents maybe if even for just a few minutes, they will have some joy, some happiness during this time.

Edit: This might help, she is mid 50's to 60? And her daughter is mid to late 30's?

@SW-User I like that something to keep the feet warm and something to warm the heart.

@LvChris Good thought. I didn't think of it like that. Thank you

@SW-User warm and fuzzy socks a few pairs for each, ordered and on the way. Chocolate, just picked up from the store.

Gift cards so they can get things that they really need at this time.

@thetucker a lot of people would be caught up in their holiday preparations and celebrations and not want to deal with someone else’s problems. You have not only brought your neighbors into your home but you are thinking of what their needs are including them into your family’s celebrations.

@cherokeepatti I am a firm believer we should help others whenever we can. We are fortunate to be able to help. And very happy to be able to help them. Interesting to us, timing, this is the first year we have not done an open house on Christmas because most people who normally would be here will not be. No open house so our new guests will not be overwhelmed with so many strangers. It feels good to be able to help them.

@cherokeepatti I even gave up the master bathroom so they can use the soaking tub if they wanted. I'm joking. Well, I mean the offer is there for them, but I didn't have to "give it up".

Cozy/fuzzy socks are always nice, lotions, scented shower/bath soaps. Even face masks/spa items. Anything that will make them feel like they can relax.

I think Cherokeepatti is right...they will need a LOT of things. If you get them gift cards, make sure they are American Express gift cards which can be used almost anywhere.

If you have limited funds and they have to replace a LOT, you might consider finding a local thrift shop, (we have a place called Savers in this area), and find out if the thrift shop offers a gift card option. They can probably get twice the amount of things shopping at a place like that...even furniture if they need it.

I suppose it would be nice to get them both something they both really want.
But if you don't know them very well it's a bit of a shot in the dark.

@Picklebobble2 even if you know someone pretty well it can be a problem....

Something matching that all three could wear... though it would ha e to be something that size could be easily figured out
