Do wealthy people have REAL friends?

I'm talking Mega-wealthy people...like millionaires/billionaires. Do they TRULY have friendships? Or just groupies who want to hang with them because they're rich? Do they have "fake" friends who are also mega-wealthy who want to hang with them for social prestige? I guess that's actually a lot of questions, but thought it might explain my question a little bit better.

I think they're probably just like you and me in that respect. They make friends with people who are in the same social tier.
We can assume that wealthy people are just human beings like everyone else and form relationships in the same way. Or we can assume that for some reason having a lot of many makes you no longer act like a human being. The former seems more likely to me.

@Pikachu That's kind of what I'm wondering... Do the wealthy people make friends from other people in the same social tier? ...or are they really not "friends" but more like business associates? ...or even "competitive peers" who feel like they have to keep track of one another so the other doesn't gain more status?

It must be a little difficult being wealthy and wondering who you can trust. ...or maybe I'm just too suspicious of people's intentions, I don't know...
