Your friend or best friend confesses that he/she has feelings for you more than just friendship. He/she is falling in love with you. What did you do?

I come to SW and ask strangers on the Questions section for advice.

The argument is....why ruin a good friendship by suddenly changing tack and making it romantic.
But there might be some logic in falling for your friends.

I mean at least you already know a great deal about them. Not likely you're suddenly going to discover they have a violent side or a are a bad gambler or drug addict.

Be honest regarding the potential that you may someday share the sentiment. Be tactful and gentle, but unambiguous and clear.

Depends on which friend. 🙀

I didn't tell them anything, we're pretty chill about it. Just because someone feels a certain way doesn't make anyone obliged to do anything about it.

Assess the pros & cons for both parties, & act.
