I’m in a learning curve with my autistic grandson. The thing I learned about You Tube videos is everyone considers themselves an expert. There are so many degrees of the spectrum and there is no one size fits all. View them at your pleasure and take what may apply in your situation.

I understand well meaning friends, dealing with much the same after losing my wife. They mean well but just don’t understand.

@SageWanderer sorry you lost your wife. It's a hell you can't understand unless you lived it but even then, everyone grieves differently.

If I was desperate enough for ideas, I would. What could it hurt?
When it comes to autistic kids, yeah...id give anything gander over, (you never know whats gonna work with them).

Self help is very personal thing.

I get she means well, but you do kinda get sick of well meaning people.
Which sounds cruel....but they do get exhausting.... and life is already that 🤷‍♀

I give many self help books, articles and videos a chance. Many are so vague and don't really make me believe I'm worth love even with many issues. But sometimes one line or phrase will really jump out at me, and I am glad I watched or read it.
I make it a rule not to spam my friends with self-help videos, only cats 🐈😁

If she’s going to transform you she needs to be far more subtle than that 😉

Kidding! I reckon that If we need knowledge or help, we know where to find it. So I usually don’t watch the ‘advice’ vids folk send me.

Too much conflicting information 😏

I might watch them and take what they have to say with a grain of salt unless you wholeheartedly trust the source.
I dunno, in kind of skeptical until i build the trust with who is saying the information
