Have you ever gone looking for a fight and ended up worrying about the other person?

A close friend from EP had been replying with one-liners, which annoyed me, so I video-called her for a fight.
Instead, she opened up about her struggles, and now I’m left feeling guilty and worried about my friend.

It doesn't sound like you were so much looking for a fight as simply wanting to confront someone about behavior that was bothering you...which sounds quite reasonable to me. In a comparable situation yes I have found myself annoyed by someone only to find out that annoyance had some underlying roots. People in struggle are rarely at their best. Hope your friend will be okay.

I wasn't exactly looking for a fight as much as I was to stop her seriously annoying behavior. Then I found out here & there things about her life & I felt bad for being so mean to her. I didn't "worry" about her after that but I definitely understood her more.

People tend to be the most argumentative in writing but face to face or video calls, not as much.

I have had a couple disagreements with people on here but then somehow we got to talking.

@Lilnonames yeah, we spoke for an hour.

Honestly there's nothing much I can do to help besides just listen.
