Finding friendship

When looking for friendship, what attributes help you to choose good, reliable friends?
I have been chatting with a few individuals who are like minded recently and have a lot in common...i wish to learn how to grow my friendship circle.
Being a shy introvert, stubborn and humble..i intend to learn how to break out of my shell and communicate with others...

I don't go in with many expectations but I have to observe people. Their taste and hobbies don't tend to matter that much it's more about what they do, how they behave, etc.

If it's online, someone needs to be a good conversationalist. You need to be able to take a subject and put your own spin on it and toss ideas back and forth so you're creating something together through the conversation. Be curious - keep a mind which is receptive to new ideas, but also critical and considerate of them. Explore differences with kindness, and celebrate commonalities. Also not like, vanish for months at a time without warning because the best we can be is friendly acquaintances then.

Everyone is going to talk about other basic human qualities we want in others. Compassion, sense of humour, selflessness, kindness, etc.

And for someone for me to spend a lot of time talking with them, they need to be impressive in some way. You do not need to have an impressive career or even be a genius. I an impressed by kindness and humility as well. But always surround yourself with people who have qualities you want in yourself.

I have 2 friends both are males. And i looked for their ability to withstand boundaries, how they showed respect to others, whether they were easy to talk to and their honesty.
