fading friendship....

I'm having a bit of a hard time getting used to the silence of... you know that soft (or not so soft) grief you feel when a friendship starts to fade away? like it's not that you hate each other or something major happened but the constant buzz of the relationship isn't there anymore and you don't talk to that person as much as you used to and you don't really want to but it still stings a little to know that there will be a time when you just aren't friends anymore.
i guess I'm feeling a bit lonely.

I know the feeling. Having friends you were once real close to, but then over time, you grow apart and just aren’t anymore to where you’re more acquaintances than friends, if even that. But you know, it happens. People change over time, in ways to where they’re not as compatible with you as they used to be. It’s not really anyone’s fault, it’s just that you simply don’t vibe with them anymore. Speaking from experience, it starts to sting less as you get older and you come to realize the temporary nature of friendships. Friends come and go, that’s just how it is. I know this is easier said than done, but don’t let it get you down too much. Another friend is bound to come along sooner or later.
