I know I'm not online that much but I do engage on people's posts when I am, no one's ever interested in chatting about creative stuff or video games, it's always politics and health updates on this site. 😩
If this place had groups you could become members of the way EP did, it would be a lot easier to find people with your same interests. Here, everything all gets lumped together into the same general feed and leaves it up to broken algorithms and lots of scrolling to help us sort through it all.
Your best bet will probably be to look into the groups we have here and try to start discussions with people who post in those groups you're interested in. It's way too disorganized here to make friends naturally. The main feed is basically a joke. You might have better luck going on discord or reddit to meet people
@TinyViolins Ah that's a pretty good idea. Yeah I know it would be easier to find people with similar interests on other websites, but I'm not much looking for close friends, as I was just hoping to find a couple people already on SW to chat with on posts about creative/cozy stuff. (=
It takes a while to find your people. It is impossible to make someone interested in what you are if they are not, so you have to find people with those interests, if that is what you want to talk about. If you don't like politics, then, I guess, don't engage with people who talk politics. I am not always interested in everything my tribe likes, but we engage in other areas of life.
Hey not into video games, and I think polittics the sure fireway way to create division in this world. but there's someone there for you in how you connect
@BillyMack You mean outside of SW, or those forums here? I honestly feel like it doesn't really even matter what forums you post in on SW, unless it's one that many people muted or blocked for obvious reasons.
I think politics and religion is the top conversations on here. But what game have u been playing. I am thinking of getting Mario Maker 2 it looks like a lot of fun
@lilylovesgaming1986 Oh, like you make your own levels? That sounds super interesting! Lately I was just playing this little survival game that I doubt most people ever heard about, but it's honestly pretty underrated even for a small game:
@SwampFlower Yeah right? Obviously I'm happy that sad posts get attention, if something bad happened to me I would also hope people would talk to me and stuff, especially since I don't really know that many people IRL. I just think casual and cozy topics could brighten up the place a bit, and maybe that would actually be nice also for those who are going through hardships.
@basilfawlty89 Have you ever played King's Bounty? Very old one-of-a-kind games, I highly recommend them! Crossworlds is probably the best one, but the first in the series called The Legend is great too. They play similar to Heroes of Might and Magic, except the world is huge, and you only have one hero which can travel around freely.
