Why is it so difficult to make real life friends

I don’t where you are from, but for what it’s worth, here most people are mean hidden under a disguise of “niceness” and politics has made it worse. Thanks to politicians where I live people are even less likely to try and make friends. The general monetary climate of the world has pushed people to focus on their own families rather than spending money hanging out with their friends.

Some people are just remorselessly mean and will be mean no matter what. I’m sure you have met as many or more than I have of that kind of person.

I think it’s easier making friends when we were younger.
