@WendyLopez43 It's only legal in liberal states feom around the era of George Bush (first cousin marriage), plus montana, because Montana is Montana.
When I first saw this years back I noticed how closely the laws for first cousin incest matched states Dems won and asked on a philosophy forum why Democrats were so into incest. It took me a while to realize it was because of middle eastern immigration.
However, in the middle east they are clamping down on this, realizing like the west did in the middle ages, bad things happens after several generations of doing this, and in countries like Saudi Arabia they force such couples into genetic counciling before they can marry.
It's gonna take a long time before we match such a awareness in the US. It's seen more as liberal sexual freedom and not as a social issue of stopping negative mutations appearing in society.
