At a restaurant, a child is causing a disturbance. The restaurant asks if they would be more comfortable at another table far from other guests

Leave them alone. Let the child cause a disturbance. It's normal behavior.
If the family refuse accommodations, then they should leave the restaurant.

@NerdyPotato thy will be done 🙏
@tenente I meant the child, but by being sacrificed myself I won't have to suffer the disturbance anymore either, so that works too. Thanks!

I can see if it is just for a couple minutes , a disturbance. Kids cannot control all their emotions and do yell or become irritating especially at dinnertime. But if it is like 10 mins straight or MORE...?? Oh God, Please tell your child to sit down or maybe have them watch a lil video on your phone or something. I remember I was in a diner a few years ago and this little 2 year old girl was literally SCREAMING every other minute. Just having fun screaming, just to hear herself almost as she was eating. the parents were saying NOTHING. After FIFTEEN minutes of this I thought are you kidding??? She wasn't upset, but You need to tell a child, 'we don't Scream loud in a restaurant honey.' ..... ANYTHING to have them lower their voices after THAT long.. YIKESSSSSSS. Lol.

@Coralmist Lazy parenting is what I call it.

@Adrift I do agree😞

That’s very nice of them, though I don’t imagine it’s always possible and do think they have a right to ask you to leave if they can’t make those accommodations. I’ve never actually seen this though. It has always just been one of the parents taking the child out or they’ve all left of their own accord without having to be asked, as it should be.

You're old enough to behave, tene!

@hunkalove I DON'T WANNA 😭

any parent with a shred of decency/self respect wouldn't put up with it & would be embarrassed/ashamed by their kid/s making a scene in public
had a similar experience before...the parents should be spanked for allowing their children to disturb others.
Put sedatives in the child's next drink. Nothing too strong, just 500mg of diazepam 🤔

Let them be. They'll grow out of it and become respectable adults 😬😬

Meh, it wouldn't bother my wife and I- we have plenty of experience with kids and my little nephew is a livewire anyway!

Same with a movie theater leave and go deal with your kid outside.
