How can people see things SO differently?

I was driving a friend of mine to his oncologists appointment on Monday, and the sky was just breathtaking. It looked a lot like this, but the navy blue streak was huge and dramatic...more pronounced, and there was a tiny patch of white on white cloud, with the sun peeking through.

This photo is really not the same...but gives you an idea of the colors.

I said to my friend, "Wow! Look at the sky!!! It's so beautiful!"

He looked up and said, "What's beautiful about it? It's just gray."

You might say he is just depressed because he had cancer and is 7 years into remission...but he has been this way for a very long time.

Its all about focus, isn't it?
I read something once that has stayed with me for years - if the stars in the sky were only visible once in a century, people would live their whole lives just to get a glimpse of that glory. But God is so extravagant that He lavishes them on us every day. And we take it for granted.

@daydeeo SOME take it for granted. Or don't even notice. Or twist that beauty, in their minds, into the dull gray that is a reflection of their own soul.

interesting.
I do like looking up at the sky and should do it more often.
One time, I was on my way to work and saw sunrays peeking through the clouds.
Either I had never actually paid attention to surays, or I had never seen them like I saw them that day.
I was so neat, I opened my camera and picture, (with my eyes still on the road, yes I know how to do that) I just looked at the pic again.

This isn't my pic but

@rosyhills When I see sun rays like that, shining through in such a lovely way, I feel as though God is shining His blessings on the world. ☺️☺️☺️

Some people are just like that, everytime i point out the moon around one of my friends he clowns me and sees nothing special. Lol he also has depression though but masks it well.

@mooncrest02 I like to look up often. Sometimes I still like to see shapes in the clouds like when I was a kid.

@rosyhills nice to know were looking at the same time! ☺️ im always checking out the skies too!
I see a beautiful sky.
@4meAndyou I love all kinds of skies.

@Sojournersoul It's difficult to see the beauty in a wild and stormy sky...but sometimes those are the MOST beautiful!
@4meAndyou Agree.

Perception of things based on what is happening to us is very common.

I use nature to my advantage, to comfort me.
Check my photos from the past.

It won't look like that when the Christ comes back so enjoy it now. ......

God gives us beauty everyday 🙏 ❤️

@masterofyou “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him.”

Matthew 24:27 states that the return of Christ will be like the brightness of lightning illuminating the entire sky from the east to the west.

That's simple
We are all different, with different interests and I can put hand on my heart and tell you that sometimes I get so rapped in my own interests that I over look my friends interests or sometimes get a reaction just like you got ♥️
and that is a beautiful picture ♥️

We all look at things differently through our own eyes .
