Can you get a deposit together? Since the 2008 financial crash in UK it's been required to get a 10% deposit. That's what for ages stopped me buying I couldn't get 30k together.
Secondly can you get a mortgage? If you're on a temporary contract then many mortgage providers won't lend or need bigger deposit or add to your interest rate. My friend her husband is a plumber so not on a perm contract the house is totally in her name to reduce the mortgage repayment even though he earns 拢80k and her about 拢45k.
Ive just bought my house from my landlord. I've opted to have my mortgage payment lower than my old rent but remember I now am liable for all repairs etc whereas before if many things broke landlord would have to fix it.
