Do you have friends on SW that you only talk to in PM? Friends that never respond to a post?

@SW-User Sorry to hear what happened to be honest though I find posts to be more problematic like if someone PMs me with ''hi'' or ''would you like to picture swap?'' I just ignore them but with posts all people do is pick holes in everything and argue about politics so they're completely toxic to me personally.

Swings and roundabouts, no matter how you look at it or which way you use the site 90% of people you interact with online are just sh!t it's sad but its true love.🤷

@Stereoguy I find that really odd and very weird like I wouldn't interact with anyone on PM unless I've actually interacted with them on a post otherwise I think of them nothing more than a complete stranger and not worth my time. If you don't have time to comment on my post I don't have time to comment in a pm. Unless they're reaching out personally because they're worried which I can understand but if it's just a simple hello let's have a talk not really my quota.

The private messaging system here is awful. May as well email or send a smoke signal. I used to PM on EP back in the day, but rarely do here. There seems to be an aversion to the private message here. It's seen as some sort of an intrusion rather than a friendly encounter. That's a shame.

I don’t really talk to a lot of people on PM. And all of those interactions evolved to using PM after getting to know each other on posts.

yeah but i'm really bad at responding to PMs lol so those usually fade away. i prefer the kind of exchanges you get on posts, sharing ideas. i really miss the Q&A board with a separate section for questions. those posts are usually more interactive.

Yeah originally I only used this site for PMs as I'd get 6-7 new ones within an hour of logging into the site and I prefer messages, but in recent times I can be logged in 24/7 for a week and I'd be lucky if I get 2 messages so I usually comment more on posts now.

@Stereoguy lol it’s just how I’ve always been on here. It’s a lot more entertaining interacting through post/comments and I feel you’re able to connect and bond more with multiple people at a time. Most people who pm mostly are just looking to get nasty in my experience lol. 🤷‍♀️

As you know I don't spend a lot of time on SW. I've just come back after about a year, there are very few of my old friends from EP and SW still here. Only you and a few more, we have known each other for over 10 years now buddy. No there are not any friends of mine I chat to that don't post, not any more anyway. I still have a couple of friends on FB from our EP days, they are no longer on SW.
