I haven't spoken to my 'BFF' in about two years because she's a trump supporter and an anti-vaxxer

I've pretty much forgotten about her since we've shared our differing political views, not that we got into a heated argument or anything. She hasn't tried contacting me either. Do you think the friendship is salvageable? What if I I sent her a random message out of the blue after all this time?

I had exactly the same with a couple of friends...I do feel the friendships have suffered...and honestly, since I agree with you on both points, it is too bad but also so difficult to closely relate to people who differ so much from me.
