I haven't spoken to my 'BFF' in about two years because she's a trump supporter and an anti-vaxxer

I've pretty much forgotten about her since we've shared our differing political views, not that we got into a heated argument or anything. She hasn't tried contacting me either. Do you think the friendship is salvageable? What if I I sent her a random message out of the blue after all this time?

Honestly it might be for the best. It's hard to maintain friendships with people if your political views are that different. You could just leave them at the door but I find then a lot of conversations just end in an argument. For myself I'm mainly apolitical I have my views but I don't really care about other people's politics unless it really affects their personality but then I don't really like people who are overly political on either side of the spectrum.
