Have you ever gone on a trip with 2 other friends and felt left out?

My daughter noticed something with a litter of feral kittens that were at the apartments when we lived there. I told her they would be two out of three together and snub the third cat. They’d switch it up with which one would get snubbed and left out. She said it was like girls her age (grade school)…three of them would be friends but two would cling together and leave the third one out and it would hurt her feelings. And switch around sometimes. I guess the same thing with adult friends. If there are three someone is going to be the third wheel and that’s sad when it come to going on a trip together. Just have fun and not do that.

I think I often end up in that position by my own doing because I have nothing to contribute to conversations. It's not that surprising people don't really want to talk to me because maybe I don't even have much to talk about after all. I'm not people's people, I can't joke around and I'm a terrible entertainer. I think way too much about what to say and sometimes I can't even find words while talking. I'm just grateful someone actually invites me to some event or trip so if I want to experience something new and interesting I don't have to go to places all by myself.

This isn’t uncommon. Try to be positive and if they still excluded you find a way to have fun on your own

perhaps they secretly know your user name on similar worlds and think you like your own company. but joking apart what they are doing is tactless and really is spoiling your enjoyment of this trip [solitaire]

No. Thats pretty rude of them. Myself, i would speak up right away.Then go and do my own thing. Dont let them screw up your trip.

Why did they bring you along with them is what I’d be asking. Are you the driver or sharing the gas costs and other expenses? Doesn’t sound like they are good friends to make you feel that way.
