Have you ever gone on a trip with 2 other friends and felt left out?

I'm right now in such a situation and I'm thinking "next time let these 2 go together or pick someone else to tag along"

My daughter noticed something with a litter of feral kittens that were at the apartments when we lived there. I told her they would be two out of three together and snub the third cat. They’d switch it up with which one would get snubbed and left out. She said it was like girls her age (grade school)…three of them would be friends but two would cling together and leave the third one out and it would hurt her feelings. And switch around sometimes. I guess the same thing with adult friends. If there are three someone is going to be the third wheel and that’s sad when it come to going on a trip together. Just have fun and not do that.

@cherokeepatti Yep. I remember sitting in the train on the way back with a sick feeling in my stomach. I maintain a cordial relationship with them now.
