Just had friends and our youngest son around for dinner. Cooked Indian, drank lots of alcohol (I'm now officially very fond of Kraken rum). Kicking back now listening to some Jethro Tull. Think I've found heaven.
@KiwiBird Their very early stuff was a lot more bluesy, with Ian Anderson playing the mouth harp more than the flute. It was stuff that I liked, but not as polished as their later work. But like all of us, we change as we get older.
@Bushranger My youngest son who introduced me to metal is a big fan of Tull in their entirety. He went to a Nick Cave concert years ago and they were playing Tull in the lead up to Nick. His friends were amazed that ge knew the music and lyrics. I'm just proud I taught him well.
@Fukfacewillie I'm 68 years old, my Spotify playlist ranges from the songs of Robbie Burns performed by Ewan McCol to Jinger. Music is one of life's true pleasures and gifts.
