A Good Night

Just had friends and our youngest son around for dinner. Cooked Indian, drank lots of alcohol (I'm now officially very fond of Kraken rum). Kicking back now listening to some Jethro Tull. Think I've found heaven.

Great Band.

@KiwiBird There are some bands that you always go to and they vary from person to person. For me, Tull when I'm feeling good, Opeth when I want to lose myself and Cohen when life gets hard.

@Bushranger I do have a couple of CDs somewhere including Aqualung. Ian Anderson is a great frontman.

@KiwiBird In my opinion, one of the best.

@KiwiBird It's funny, but after Aqualung I wasn't all that impressed with the direction Tull went. Decades later I re listened to their music and fekk in love again. Currently listening to Heavy Horses which I hated when it first came out.

@Bushranger Some of the best music was between 1969 and 1979. I have a huge inherited collection.

@KiwiBird Their very early stuff was a lot more bluesy, with Ian Anderson playing the mouth harp more than the flute. It was stuff that I liked, but not as polished as their later work. But like all of us, we change as we get older.

@KiwiBird Ah, Cross-Eyedd Mary belting out right now. Is this heaven?
