A Good Night

Just had friends and our youngest son around for dinner. Cooked Indian, drank lots of alcohol (I'm now officially very fond of Kraken rum). Kicking back now listening to some Jethro Tull. Think I've found heaven.

@Human1000 Don't you start away uneasy.

@Human1000 I'm not sure if you are familiar with the original album sleeve, but I loaned it to a workmate who refused to listen to the LP because the sleeve was, in his belief, blasphemous.

But right now I'm listening to Heavy Hirses.

@Bushranger I have great memories of drinking Jack Daniels and listening to Aqualung!

@Bushranger I’m not familiar with it, what was it?

@Human1000 I have very fond memories of doing other things to Aqualung, lol.

The original album sleeve had a parody of Exodus that included ' In the beginning Man created God. In his image created He Him...'

@Bushranger That was pretty out there back in the day!

@Human1000 Not really. Just depended on where you normally hung out. Was watching some video of the 60s and 70s music scene in Australia wirh my wife, most of the people were wearing suits and othe respectable clothes. Said that I didn't recall that sort of thing. My wife pointed out that the people I associated with back in the day weren't actually mainstream. Atheist and anarchistic ideas were common in the mob I hung out with.

@Bushranger Sounds like Mad Max! (sorry, grabbing for what I know).

@Human1000 Nah, more like One Flew Ovef The CuckoosNest lol. I was too young to be a real hippy, but desperately wanted to be one.

@Human1000 I'm 68 years old, my Spotify playlist ranges from the songs of Robbie Burns performed by Ewan McCol to Jinger. Music is one of life's true pleasures and gifts.
