How many times have you had to explain to your Rage Against the Machine fan friend that they hate everything said friend believes in?

There was a twitter post (maybe several) a few years ago that was telling them to stay out of politics and stick to their music.
@MethDozer Wow, wonder how she manages that ? I can’t even listen to Ted Nugent.

@bijouxbroussard I liked Cat Scratch Fever, but eh...the racism, statutory rape and being an all round dickhead ruined it for me.

@bijouxbroussard Well Yed Nugent's music always sucked while GD has always been great so there's that.

Plus there's always been this weird out of place affluent yuppie/suburbanite element at shows as long as I been going to them. All the Old Heads say it started coming into the mix during the early 90's when they got big with college kids. That element has really taken over the shows since Bobby got a senility boner for John Mayer and it's been Dead&Co.

In my opinion, one can like get into music and not agree with their politics. In my case, I like the band Rise Against, and listen to them all the time, but I don't agree with a lot of what they sing about.

I separate art from the artist.

@basilfawlty89 Not really. Sorta but at face value it was more just misanthropic and Paleo-humanist.

Sorta in the way that once his nazi sympathies came clear it kinda gels.

@MethDozer I understand that.
@Bri89 I get that, to some extent. I love classical music. And I’ve no doubt some of those composers would be perplexed to see someone like me playing their work.
Nah, I don’t really understand it, they don’t understand why I like Kid & Play; we keep moving…😊
@SW-User I didn’t, either. And they were mostly panned. The first one was "lightning in a bottle".

@bijouxbroussard I love Kid n Play, House Party was one of my favourite movies growing up.
