There's a lot of it in Lynchburg Tennessee. The fungus feeds on the ethanol in the air from the distillery.
Whiskey Fungus isn't new it's been around for millennia.
The fungus can grow around homes next to bakeries and distilleries. The fungus looks unsightly and makes the town look like a ghost town but constant pressure washing can get it off temporarily before it comes back again.
