Fun fact. Chickens have no stomach acid. They have a gizzard. Of which they eat rocks to grind up their food for them. Also. Don't feed them maggots or they'll eat them from the inside out. And listening to a chicken sneeze is hilarious btw

Chickens are actually opportunistic omnivores which means they will eat meat. I don't agree with feeding species their own because prion disease is a thing but they will be healthy with animal products. Corn and soy suck for animals. Higher omega 6 and lower omega 3.

I knew someone who kept chickens and I learnt that they quite like to eat cat food! I had always thought chickens just ate grains and were basically vegetarian but no they like a bit of meat too!

Look up "Venus Fly Trap". That's a plant that eats meat too.

It depends on where you buy your chickens. Some are fed more carefully for that reason.
