The alleged "sugar high" - ???

I have a question. If children get a lot of sudden energy from eating chocolate & sugar, at what age does that stop working for us adults?

You get exactly the same amount of energy, but if you are unable to make use of it that energy will be converted to fat and stored in the body.

@SunshineGirl I'm very old. I think maybe I've lived this long because there's no food I'm scared of. 😅. The flipside is I grew up on wartime deprivation and THAT didn't do me any harm either. Oh and despite my chocolate & sugar consumption I am not diabetic or obese like so many of the people I see . Just disappointed that eating my crusts didn't give me curly hair. 🤥

@Really I was the kid who ate everyone else's crusts . . I didn't get curls either!
