I got candy in the summer when relatives came to visit. We would go to to the Old Country Candy store, in...Wayland? We would take relatives there as part of a historic tour of Massachusetts.
The store was an old fashioned general store, revamped to be a tourist attraction because of it's quirky pickle barrels with really huge sour pickles for sale, penny candy, and a nickelodeon.
My favorites were the coconut flavored "watermelon slices", Squirrels wrapped candy, and Mary Janes with peanut butter in the middle. We could buy packs of candy cigarettes there, and if you blew on them, real looking "smoke" came out! 馃ぃ馃ぃ馃ぃ
