The Spam fritter mystery

School dinner, every Monday. A lovely slice of fresh Spam, well fresh from the tin, deep fried in batter. The first quarter was great, the second quarter started to taste a bit nasty, the third quarter made you feel sick. Nobody knew what the fourth quarter tasted like. Every plate had a quarter left uneaten.

Four slices sounds excessive 😳

@Lugwho We usually had bubble-and-squeak on Mondays. To use up the mountains of cabbage left over from Sunday lunch.

@SunshineGirl Bubble and squeak is great, or rumbledethumps if you want to go a bit Scottish.
