I don't follow recipes

I just wing it and it usually turns out well. I'd like to learn how to make and bake desserts but I'm afraid I'll get so good at it that I become very fat.

I only bake desserts when I know there will be a crowd to share them with!

I tend to wing it when I am cooking, too. Sometimes I'll read several recipes for the same dish, to get a feel for what people do, and then modify it .

I don't either except for baking but I don't really bake much. I just take things I like, add spices and mix it and together and voila a good dinner lol

You're 21 and you have a holistic understanding of cooking? I'm very jealous.
EarthGirl · 18-21, F
@BlueVeins Cooking is easy. You just need to keep watch.

I tend to still follow recipes when baking because the chemistry matters more. But otherwise I'm pretty good at throwing stuff together and sometimes I like to experiment just because.

I usually make a master recipe based off several different ones. Baking you HAVE to follow the recipe; you cannot wing it.

I still need recipes for baking, all the rest I wing it.

Sometimes i follow them if i don't know what i’m doing..
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
Do people still use recipes?
EarthGirl · 18-21, F
@tobynshorty I imagine so. Family recipes are still a thing.
SW-User
@tobynshorty I have mine memorized lol

@SW-User yep
Cooking is an art. Baking is a science.
