Have you ever had cauliflower "Mac" & cheese?

I made some today. Tastes better than I thought.

Someone's gonna say: but cauliflower is bland!

Yes it is... like bland broccoli, and that's what makes it the perfect canvas to flavor up into some low carb "Mac" and cheese.

My taste buds are happy 😊

No and never will. Me & Cauliflower parted ways last year. Caused me so digestive issues and can’t even stand to look at it now. I used to eat it and broccoli quite a lot steamed etc. I can’t even eat much broccoli like before now. Maybe a few bites at most, same with Brussels sprouts.

@cherokeepatti

But, at one time you loved them. That will always be something.

@RenFur I even made cauliflower crust for pizza because it was gluten-free. And I loved broccoli the first time I tried it when I was 14 years old, it became a favorite for me.

Love, cooking, home stuff - - that's who you are and always will be.

So, what has Boo-Boo been up to today? LOL

@RenFur He was more subdued this morning due to the rain and cloudiness. For the past week every morning when the sun is shining he will wake up and start yelling out about 3 loud chirps and then add Parakeet! And he will do it for about 30 minutes non-stop till every one of us is up and in the living room and then he shuts up. He didn’t do it this morning but now the sun is shining a bit more and he is getting louder.

@RenFur that little bird always gives me some good matter to write about. I can’t even understand how a little creature who is completely different than a human can learn to speak any words at a young age. But this one did. He was just a few weeks old and had just feathered out good when I heard him say “I hate you, I hate you”. He was talking to his mother who would bite the toes of the babies when they got feathers so she could start laying more eggs for another brood. I couldn’t believe he was talking much less saying something so relevant. I called the boy over and asked him what he was saying (he kept on because he was mad) and he said “He is saying I hate you, I hate you!” Consider how long it takes humans to learn to say a single word, and this bird was not even 2 months old then. He understands the concept of what is spoken about and picks up sentences that way.

You want to say God gifted you with Boo-Boo and he with you but you are hesitant to say so. Am I half way right?

@RenFur Oh I already know he is a gift. The gift that keeps on giving…😂. He is not saying “Take care of me” any longer after I started cleaning his cage every day instead of letting the boy do it for about 3 months. He was saying “Take care of me” all day long then. He is good entertainment and brings a lot of cheer to this house.

@cherokeepatti Interesting. I never really ate cauliflower much before. I've had it a few times but thought it was too bland, even with some seasonings. I've noticed that it doesn't make me gassy like broccoli does, and it has a milder taste, especially with cheese. I feel like it tastes the way I wish broccoli and chess would. So I think I'll stick with it.

@cherokeepatti The last time I went to the grocery store, I was craving pizza. i decided to look at cauliflower crust pizza. It had 80g carbs. The regular (small flatbread) pizza that I wanted was 50g carbs, so I just went with the regular. At least I tried to be healthy/cut some carbs.
