Sloppy Joe Manwiches with Ground Turkey

Manwiches do not normally call for celery or onion, but this simple addition harks back to the days of homemade sloppy Joes, and STRETCHES the ground turkey so you get more bang for your buck!

1 lb ground turkey, browned and broken to small bits
4 large stalks celery, diced
2 large onions, diced
1/2 cup olive oil
Toasted hamburger buns with sesame seeds
2 cans Manwich sauce
Non stick cooking spray

Use two frying pans. Spray both with non-stick cooking spray. Brown the turkey in one frying pan, constantly chopping and turning as it cooks.

In the second frying pan, add the onions, celery and olive oil, and sauté on low heat, stirring occasionally to ensure that all the veggies are evenly cooked and onions turn golden.

When the veggies are cooked, dump the cooked turkey on top of the veggies, then add the Manwich sauce and stir well. Simmer over low heat while you toast the hamburger buns.

This easily re-heats, so it is just as easy to serve one or two people as 8...BUT it does serve eight.

One toasted hamburger bun = one serving, with a generous scoop of the sauce on top.
