Gluten free Can-opener Turkey Chili with Beans "Mild" [I Like To Share Recipes]

1 pound ground turkey
2 tablespoons flax seed oil
1 (15 oz) can light red kidney beans, undrained
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (32 oz) can diced tomatoes
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
1 Tablespoon cilantro
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
Salt, (about 1 tsp)
1 tsp dark honey
1 Tablespoon kitchen bouquet gravy seasoning mix
2 tsps McCormick chili powder

In a 12" skillet, chop the turkey together with the flax seed oil over medium heat. Add half the garlic powder, and pepper. Continue to heat and chop until turkey is no longer raw.

Add the undrained can of beans, and the diced tomatoes. Cover, bring to a simmer, then turn heat down to low, remove the cover and simmer until most of the liquid is evaporated, about 30 minutes.

Chop at any of the diced tomatoes that appear too large with the edge of your spoon.

Add the tomato sauce, the remaining garlic powder, salt, honey, kitchen bouquet, cilantro, and chili powder. Stir very well.

Continue simmering until all the ingredients are heated through, then serve.

If you use McCormick chili seasoning normally, as one of my friends does, it is NOT gluten free. Most McCormick mixes contain wheat.

Sounds great even on a hot day.

@Darkskiescoming Yeah, I just found out that flax seed oil relieves inflammation, so I am trying to sneak it in to my cooking now...and because this didn't take too long to cook, it doesn't heat up the entire house.

@4meAndyou I need to try cooking with it too.

@Darkskiescoming I was thinking even salad dressings. Oil and vinegar? I used to make my own Greek salad dressing.

Cut the wheat out of your diet and you will see a major improvement in pain and inflammation.

@4meAndyou I don't eat much anyway but pasta is a weakness. I know the make a lot of gluten free.

@Darkskiescoming I am checking out edamame fettucine and black bean spaghetti this week. I bought shrimp and scallops, and I am going to fix them on top of the weird pastas with garlic butter sauce.
