Green Olive and Garlic Hummus by 4meAndyou

In a blender, combine the following:
¼ cup lemon juice
3 Jumbo Mezzetta garlic stuffed green olives
½ cup tahini
1/3 cup light tasting olive oil
½ tsp. powdered cumin
1 (15 oz) can garbanzo beans, (chick peas), drained

Puree all ingredients. If the garbanzo beans are not blending remove the blender jar and give them a stir, then continue to puree till all is blended. This should be pale, lighter than peanut butter, when done.
Serve with celery sticks or other raw vegetables.

[c=#BF0080]I wanna try this! I never thought of using green olives in hummus! [/c]

@MellyMel22 It's delish because the green olives add their salty flavor to the hummus. I might even use more next time. A lot of my cooking is experimental. 😉

@4meAndyou [c=#BF0080]Same! Or edited to try different stuff. I make it every so often and put it on mini toasted pita bread and I put a piece of romaine lettuce on it after. [/c]

@MellyMel22 Mmm! Sounds delish! I use it with celery sticks and baby carrots because I am supposed to cut out the carbs.
