Try this version of a tuna salad sandwich...sweet and savory!

1 large can albacore white tuna, flaked
1 cup finely diced celery
1/2 cup finely diced red onion
3/4 to 1 cup Miracle whip salad dressing, or mayonnaise.
4 coarsely diced sweet baby gherkin pickles for each two sandwiches.
slice bread, your choice.

Mix all ingredients except bread and pickles thoroughly.

Lay bread slices on a plate, and top each slice with 1/3 to 1/2 cup of tuna mixture.
Top with sweet chopped baby gherkin pickles, about 2 scant Tablespoons each. Cut each sandwich in half. Serving size is 1/2 sandwich. Serves 7 to 8.

The baby gherkins are almost sweet and sour on their own, and this, combined with the tuna and onion flavors, kicks it up a notch.

Recently, I've begun adding hot sauce to tuna salad - kicked up another notch (mine - tuna, mayo, vinegar, sugar, celery, chopped hardboiled egg, diced onion, sweet relish & hot sauce to taste).

@Mamapolo2016 Mmmm! I thought about using my Frank's Red Hot, but it is a little too vinegary for me with the pickles, too. These sweet baby gherkins are strange...they are sweet and vinegary at the same time, and some them almost taste spicy hot...almost.

But your sandwich sounds really good!
