When I was working full time, I taught my 13 year old son how to make French Bread pizza. It wasn't a gourmet experience, but it was easy for him, and that's important when teaching kids to cook.

@4meAndyou True, a lot of kids, even older ones have no idea how to make the most basic foods like cooking an egg.
