Do you refrigerate your peanut butter?

There once was a very good reason to refrigerate peanut butter. And there still is, IF you make your own and don't use any preservatives.

I have actually have made my own peanut butter. And yes I had to refrigerate it.

Peanut butter without any kind of preservatives goes Rancid, if not refrigerated. And it doesn't take very long to go rancid.

It's becomes poisonous!

What you buy in the stores almost always has preservatives!

Now you can freeze home made peanut butter. And that would protect it from becoming rancid.

@DanielsASJ about 3 lbs of shelled pistachios nuts, another two pounds of shelled peanuts. A cup of peanut oil and a very strong blender. And I do mean a stong one because it will over heat!

You don't want to put too much peanut oil because it will become runny. And runny peanut butter becomes rancid easily. It's mostly the oil that goes bad.
