I just dropped a carton of eggs.

Only two survived. So much for that 3 egg omelette.

If they broke in the carton, I would use them. Scrambled :)

@LunarOrbit the dogs got scrambled eggs. I'm going out for an omelette.

@SW-User win win! Lucky dogs!!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User yeah the feral cat I feed gets any broken eggs when that happens.
Oh,that sucks. Like when I bring in groceries and dropped my eggs. They never even made it into the fridge the first time.

Makes me miss the days that I had chickens. Just go out to the coop
If this happened, I’d be really sad for the eggs. I hate wasting food, though accidentally.

Years ago now, I dropped a carton at the grocery store - when taking them from the cart to put on the conveyor belt - the gal bagging my groceries that day never let me forget it - every time after that when she saw me at the store she’d ask me if I got eggs 🙄 she’d take them out of the cart and remind me of what happened last time - every single time it was “last time” I just smiled but 🤦‍♀️ she was “special” so I let it slide. She no longer works there, we don’t eat eggs any more and now I go through the self check out line

I pay $2.99 sometimes more. A few years ago Aldi was selling eggs for $0.44 a dozen.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@WonderGirl It hasn’t been that long since they were selling them for 59cents a dozen

And eggs are expensive these days…yikes.
Tanya02 · 41-45, F
I dropped eggs all over the kitchen floor once and realised they were the last ones so as the floor was clean I scooped them up and made omelettes with them. As we all survived unscathed then I assume that it doesn’t do you any harm!

Sounds like you have a ten egg omelet but maybe you should cook it a little longer , next time use a stove. 🙃 sorry I couldn’t resist.
You must have a big mess there.
MougyWolf · 36-40, M
You could scoop up the mess, pick the shells out, and have a 10 egg omelette, with dirt
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
Bro..... You cant make an omelet without breaking a few eggs....
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
And they are so expensive now ☹️

Two egg omelette? 😋
SW-User
@Lilymoon nope, going out for a 3 egg.
SW-User
Two is still better than none. I keep thinking about the cost though! Eggs are getting to be like gold! (slight exaggeration)
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User I buy golden flax meal (Bob’s Red Mills) because it is good to help keep the liver clean and helps with digestion. It has a milder flavor than the brown flax meal. They sell the brown type at Walmart in the baking section. It would be good to keep on hand in case you ran out of eggs and it can be kept in the freezer or ice box in a jar.

@cherokeepatti We get a carton of 15 eggs for £1.60 (just up from £1.50) in one of the major UK supermarkets. For comparison, a regular cappuccino at Macdonald's is £1.69. ☺️
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Fluffybull I think they are doing things here to jack up prices and calling it shortages or supply line issues. It’s getting old.

Uughhh!!!! Go stand there in that corner
