Anyone else keep instant Raman noodles around just because every now and then they really hit the spot?

🙋‍♂️😅

I have ramen for breakfast almost every day. With an egg, a mushroom, broccoli, celery, and onion.

i keep them around for when i'm feeling particularly lazy and uninspired

Oh yeah. I like ramen

@itsok I kinda love instant ramen…just had a cup with dried hot pepper cut into it. Tasty 🤤
itsok · 31-35, F
@Zaphod42 an egg cooked in there, and some miso paste. It’s so good and easy, and lots of add-in options

Yes. I have a couple cases of them.

@Justgreg I need to get another case or two…just finished the last brick I had, lol

Yeah but my kid eats them so though I could have had one on hand 5 years collecting dust, now my tween usually gobbles them up within the week.

I keep a bunch. I make a quick peanut sauce for them, sometimes I'll add some chicken to it. It's a good quick meal

I have two packs of instant Ramen noodles here, as a last resort... 😏

I make a one pot ramen casserole. I boil a packet of ramen with a can or corn, with the juice, and as soon as it's boiling I crack in three jumbo eggs and let them set long enough before scrambling together with the noodles and corn. Then I drain and add the seasoning from the packet, pepper and shredded cheese, stir that around, then add 1/4 cup of sour cream. I created this as a munchie meal when I first started partaking weed in my early 20's in the early 90's, it was a massive hit with my circle, I'd make huge pots of them with maybe a whole case of 12 noodle packets and scale up the rest of the ingredients.
@itsok Beef bouillon is ok, I prefer using the better than bouillon paste in the jars, far less sodium, but I use the powdered seasoning packets in the packs of ramen noodles for this recipe.

@NativePortlander1970 better than bouillon is really good! I don’t think I’ve ever had the beef, but I use the chicken one. I’m not sure I’ve seen a ramen with a beef seasoning before
@itsok Beef is one of the more common flavors.
The beef better than bouillon is really good, as is their roasted vegetable, which I use when making gravies and sauces, a quarter teaspoon is enough to make them pop with flavor.
