My husband used to make me coffee every morning.

Making coffee is easy and if it makes her happy, count me in.

I always got up earlier than my partners. So I always made the coffee.

It's our longstanding tradition that she brings me coffee in the morning. Started occasionally before we were even married. Then she survived an almost fatal brain hemorrhage and at one point I joked that I just wanted her to be able to bring me coffee in the mornings. She used that as one motivational goal for her therapy.

She gets coffee and a cooked breakfast in every morning. This morning was an egg, cheese and jalapeño burrito with a glass of tomato juice.

Every morning. And breakfast on most days.

That was part of the ritual for the last couple of years. My wife's dementia meant she could no longer make coffee for herself, so morning for the past few years meant I'd make coffee for both of us, then make her breakfast. No longer though, because she finally had to go into a memory care unit where people take care of her 24 hours a day.

99% of the time I did. Being warm blooded I tolerated the cold kitchen better than she did so let her stay under the covers.

I know y'all lie. No man has ever made coffee for me in the morning. Lol
