I used to feed the wild turkeys in my own back yard, in Plymouth. I enjoyed the continuity...the thought that THOSE wild turkeys might have been the distant descendants of the wild turkeys the Pilgrims hunted. ☺️

I used to buy bags of cracked corn for them...but was soon sorry that I did. They made my back yard their home. They tore up every bit of my English Ivy. Two males had a vicious looking mating fight right in the middle of my little perennial garden, ripping the plants with their claws. It was crazy!

So enjoy the view, and leave those beauties to be wild...and be wiser than I was...🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou too late...been feeding the Turkeys for years. We live on 120 acres of woods...in the middle of woods 😊 and a creek that runs thru our land. They have plenty of space to scratch the earth for food.

@ShadowWorker We lived on wooded land, but the turkeys only wanted to be right inside my chain link fence, (which I put up for the dogs). And of course, they really seemed to love tearing up my plants...🤣

@4meAndyou if that ever happens..we are going to fight...lol.., it is bad enough that the deer eat my plants now.

@ShadowWorker Chicken wire fences top and bottom are the only way to stop some critters.
