I love being a carnivore

I only eat meat, fish, and eggs. No dairy, even though some carnivores indulge and it tastes oh so good, but I can't tolerate it myself. I drink tons of water and have one cup of black coffee every morning to get my day started. I absolutely love it! I've been doing it for the past year and my body has never felt better. My autoimmune diseases are finally all in remission when nothing else has ever worked. I started this diet right after developing a terminal illness and any time I stop doing it, my illness gets much worse very quickly, and starts improving again when I get back to carnivore. It's a big part of why I'm still alive right now! And it brought me out of acute heart failure when medications alone were not enough. My vitamin and electrolyte deficiencies are gone. I can think clearly. My mental and physical health are drastically improved on this diet, it's the #1 most lifechanging thing I have ever experienced. The best tasting, most energizing meal is a raw little filet mignon just seared for a minute on each side.

I was skeptical at first because it's always repeated as common sense that vegetables and fruit are good for you and necessary, but it turns out that all plant chemicals and carbohydrates actually DO hurt my body, I had no idea just how much until I tried eating this way and was suddenly no longer sick! Some people are very against eating this way and I can't understand why, plenty of people have asked me how I got to look so much better and become so much healthier but then once I tell them they get mad and promise me I "will" start getting worse from it instead someday, and I must add some "health foods" like cereal and beans back into my diet LOL 🤣🤣 forever patiently waiting for that day to come. I don't care if the bread is whole grain, it gives me arthritis, fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, gastroparesis, lupus, IBS, eczema, makes my autism symptoms and mental health much worse. Meat only heals my body and brain to the fullest extent possible. Doctor Shawn Baker's book is practically the Bible on this way of eating, it's very informative and I highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in learning about this!

No fruits, vegetables or grains?

@redredred none!

So no vitamin C, no fiber, and few if any micronutrients. @angoranimi

@redredred correct about no fiber. Fiber hurts my body and I don't need to be eating any of that. Sometimes I take a supplement that is zinc and vitamin C, like if there's illness going around, but I have done fine without that it's not necessary or anything. I've been doing this long-term, my chronic vitamin C and D deficiencies as well as my chronic low potassium levels actually resolved after going carnivore, rather than getting worse like some people said it would. The theory is that certain things like vitamin C and potassium are used up heavily in carbohydrate metabolism, so because I don't eat any carbohydrates, my body uses up much less now and therefore requires much less of certain nutrients like the ones I just mentioned. Meat actually has a lot more micronutrients than people realize though, and I also eat organ meats which are super rich in nutrients, I think people also fail to consider that many carnivores do also eat the animals organs and this is what ancient hunters did too. It's a really important source of nutrition and probably why carnivore diet works just fine without any of the fruits, veggies or grains people these days mistakenly think we need to be eating. If this diet caused nutritional deficiencies, I would have seen my levels get worse over these past couple of years. But instead they were all messed up before and fixed themselves on this diet, and I feel a million times better too compared to before eating this way I felt horrible, and I feel horrible any time I slip up now and eat junk. So much inflammation and autoimmune flare immediately

@angoranimi You’re not yet thirty . You can do anything you want at your age but when you get older you’ll find that “all things in moderation” is excellent advice. Grains, fruits and vegetables are good for everyone. Not every grain or every fruit or every vegetable certainly but there’s a mix that works for you. You’ll see.

@redredred unfortunately that's not true for me. I've lived my whole life in this body, I've had autoimmune diseases my entire life, and the only thing that keeps me healthy, free of inflammation and chronic pain is carnivore diet. I become physically disabled and in more pain worse and worse the longer I go eating things that aren't meat. Trust me, I've spent more time than you can imagine figuring out what exactly does and doesn't cause me to react lol. It's ALL carbohydrates, plus certain proteins like the ones in dairy, soy, grains, etc. It's obviously some sort of metabolic/autoimmune syndrome, I was born this way, and will always be like this. If I had the choice to eat other things I obviously would, I love the taste of dairy and all these other foods I can't have, but it's legit not an option for me. It destroys my body and brain. My body cannot effectively use glucose as a fuel and relies on ketones to function properly. Grains, fruits and vegetables are NOT good for everyone. Grains are actually not good for anybody at all, unless you're severely underweight and need to gain quickly. That's the entire purpose of grain, as a fattener for livestock. Grains are inflammatory, manmade and not a real food. Fruits and vegetables may have some nutritional benefit for some people but it's definitely very overstated, they're not nearly as nutritionally important as they have everyone believing, they are not a requirement to survive and thrive at all if you're eating an appropriate meat diet which is the most nutritionally superior way of eating. I'm nowhere near the only person out there like this, I have come across thousands of other people online who are just like me, who have no choice but to eat a carnivore diet because of aggressive autoimmune diseases that don't respond to anything else.

I disagree with the "everything in moderation" to be healthy saying. Eating in moderation will lead to a moderate amount of chronic disease. I feel it does not make any sense to spend the time and effort figuring out how many chocolate covered almonds I can eat before I start to feel like crap. If something makes you feel bad in ANY amount, it's not meant to be ingested at all. I have never in my life felt badly after eating a pound of steak or other meat, but if I ate a pound of literally anything else I'd feel super sick for the rest of the day, so would many other people. Just some food for thought
