How do you eat your meat pie?
Do you simply attack it whole, straight out of the hot oven, smother it with tomato sauce then take a big bite, burning the crap out of your mouth?
That is how it should be done.

I must admit that was the way I used to eat meat pies.
Now I peel the lid off, scoop some of the filling onto the upended lid to make a mini pizza.
Then I eat the rest of the filling with a spoon and ditch the casing.
Doing it this way ensures no burning of the mouth.
By the time I have consumed the mini pizza, the rest of the filling has cooled enough to attack it with gusto.
