In Massachusetts it costs $18 for a big mac fries and a large soda.

Pretzel · 61-69, M
seriously???
ScarletWitch · 26-30, F
@Spoiledbrat someone made a tiktok of this. They said man if this is the price for McDonald's i might as well go to a nice restaurant instead. Certain states have increasingly raised everything in ridiculous prices.
Applepiedom · 56-60, M
@Pretzel they working on eliminating jobs, order on line
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@Applepiedom I'm waiting for a computerized serving line overseen by a few people - the orders will probably be correct.
We just spend $23 at Mickey D's recently. I got a Quarter Pounder with cheese and a relative of mine got a Deluxe McChicken with a few add-ons. But we both got meals so came with fries and soda.

I have another family member who does something real clever with their breakfast at McDonalds. They order a Big Breakfast with egg and sausage. Then they take the biscuit, cut it open, put on the egg and sausage and make their own egg/sausage mcmuffin.
@RedBaron just spent 49 bucks at a diner for 2 people
RedBaron · M
@twiigss And the food is at least twice as good.
@RedBaron I had a burger from the diner and well I can say it was just about as flat as a Mickey D's burger. Wasn't too happy with it. The sundae was pretty good though, and our waitress we had was awful, like she didn't care, still left a $5 tip.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
Always go for the value menu burgers and a large fry.
TexChik · F
@MrBrownstone So men don't eat those?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@TexChik They do. Moobs
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Flenflyys I was willing to make that sacrifice.
went to Burger King today ordered 3 B,K J,R, withe medium fry's, cost $26, dollars, got home looked 3 sliders only two fry's, what a rip off, year ago they had the best burger any where, done with them,,cook my own next time,
I used to love burger king. @jackrabbit10
@Spoiledbrat yes B,K was the best, it could me bad management ,
CestManan · 46-50, F
For $15 you can buy everything needed for a burger and fries dinner at home for two people AND the food is way better. Small roll of hamburger, bag of fries, good buns, 2 liter,

Of course McDonald's thinks it is somehow an upper scale restaurant. At one time they were calling one of their nasty items a "steak house burger". BUUULLLLLL sheet.

Companies are delusional when their junk is bottom of the barrel but they try to pass it off as luxury.
@CestManan I usually make 3 or 4 patties and eat the leftovers for lunch the next couple of days.

Do they charge for ice too?
updown2020 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Excuse me Mc Donalds charges for ice how much?
SW-User
@updown2020 No I was just asking how much they charge for ice, it seems McDonald's prices are so high
updown2020 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Oh okay
Applepiedom · 56-60, M
Burger flippers get paid 20$ an hour. It's no an entry job it's a career
@Applepiedom I disagree. First of all, only fast workers are making $20 an hour. Seconly I think the skill level varies, that's why some people get paid more than others. Nurses have to be on their toes and careful. Fast food workers don't. It's pretty basic. I think the pres was pandering for votes.
@Applepiedom If a nurse does a job wrong a lot is at risk.
Applepiedom · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat very true, much like truck drivers. Now,if burger flippers were get 10$ and nurses 30+,nurse is paid for they're risk and knowledge. Burger flipper gets 20$ an hour nurse should get at least another 10$ so now paid 40+. . But if everyone moves up in pay where's the benefits? It just sounds like you make more money. You're not though
Steve42 · 56-60, M
Thank $15.00 min wage. Soon you will be served by robots who make, wrap, and sell your food.
RedBaron · M
@SooperSarah Does it? Where else are these establishments?

Remember that Horn & Hardart opened its first automat in 1902 in Philadelphia, but eventually went out of business.
@RedBaron their goal isn't to build more coffee shops. They're trying to sell the tech to establishments that already exist and can't find the help they need without jacking up their prices. If the tech will thrive this is definitely the climate for it.
RedBaron · M
@SooperSarah Horn & Hardart was a chain of full-menu automated restaurants, not coffee shops.
ScarletWitch · 26-30, F
Ita insane i bet the food costs more than they make in an hour.
But the high school kids working there need to make a living wage
RedBaron · M
What’s so great about McDonald’s?
calicuz · 56-60, M
@RedBaron

Nothing at 18 dollars. 🙄
Got it yesterday in Boston and it was under $10 🤔
calicuz · 56-60, M

samueltyler2 · 80-89, M

TrashCat · M
I think you better check your receipts
updown2020 · 61-69, M

MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
But hey,no mean tweets.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
