Did I do the business harm or good?

There's a nearby restaurant that's understaffed and keeps getting rude customers and bad reviews by people who aren't familiar with real world struggles.

So months ago I posted a review on Google, calling out other people for being dickheads to the staff and leaving bad reviews for an issue that's more logistical than anything.

My post did point out that wait times were slow, which, in retrospect, might not have been the smartest move. 😅

But I gave them five stars.

It's wild how people can be treated and looked down on when they're serving others. Retail is notorious for this.
@KentuckyFriedFloozy If you want to know what someone is truly like in their heart, see how they treat animals, service reps, and people they will never have to confront.

@SinlessOnslaught I definitely agree

You filter out the impatient buttholes for them and basically acted as their unpaid bouncer. You dropped a 5-star to counter the review-bombing. That is objectively helpful to their algorithm.

@SinlessOnslaught Maybe you're right. Truly gross behavior. I think it's more like active amnesia.
@ArkBallet I'm sure there's a psychological term for it. It's selfish people recognizing that they likely will never have to be in the other person's shoes again, so it no longer matters how people in a group "beneath them" are treated.
