Do you ever put together soups or stews…

that consist of groceries you want to eat before they go bad ? It sounds awful but I’ve created some great meals that way…

That's pretty much what I always use for soups! Leftovers are great for soups because they've already developed flavor. Having a carton of chicken stock on hand is good. For instance, leftover ratatouille a can of beans, a little pasta and some chicken stock and you got a delicious Pasta Fajolie fast and easy!
@DailyFlash I’ve done that, too. And I often cook rice or dry pasta with chicken broth rather than water. Adds flavor. 😊
