I have one remote grandparent who was in Napoleon's Grande Armée, so at least 1%.

40%, according to DNA testing. Both parents had some French ancestry.

I was a host for the French Rugby team at the 2000 Summer Olympics

Zero. My Cherokee grandmother told her her children to say they were part French if the white kids at school asked why they had dark hair and eyes. Turns out there is no French. This was more than a century ago in Oklahoma when racism ran rampant against Native Americans here.

But for some strange reason when I was a greeter working in a local Walmart a French man entered the store and started to speak to me in French as though I was French and knew the language. I told him in English that I didn’t speak French because I wasn’t from France.

DNA says 0%, but I can document my ancestry back to at least one French lady who married an Englishman a few hundred years ago. So the answer is a non-zero percent.

Yes, there may be some NW European Continental ancestry, but equally, some Scandinavian or Celtic, or combination thereof, there!

I am not aware of any French ancestry.

But people from Normandy did come to southern Italy during the time of the Crusades.

My mother and all four grandparents were born in Southern Italy, so who knows?

have no idea....i've got italian, austrian, hungarian, polish, russian maybe czech...dad grew up in germany but probably not any of that in me as he wasn't born there as he was a refugee in 1944...french is one of my country's official languages but i don't speak it

Ancestry.com lumps part of northern France and Belgium and several other areas of Europe into one "group:, which also includes parts of eastern England. Of ALL those bits, I am 36%...unfortunately it's not properly broken down.

About 25% from my mother's side.
